Trailer:Little Children
Movie Info:IMDb   WikiP   Site
Type:Trailer
Release Date:October 6, 2006
In Short:Perfecto.

I refuse to believe that Todd "Nick Nightingale" Field has created a movie as engaging as the trailer for his adaptaption of Tom Perrotta's novel Little Children. There's just no way.

The Little Children trailer is an impressive work that knows it's hard to resist watching a train wreck. To that end, the trailer seductively lulls you in with an off-in-the-distance train whistle building to warn of the impending collision between the characters' hearts and their desires. Of course you're going to watch until the crash, they've got your full attention

The dead man's handle of this trailer may be the fact that it's just too good. It has the feel of being a better crafted representation than the movie it's promoting. I'm not sure Field can make the film this trailer promises — as that would be an incredible directing achievement. Let's hope I'm wrong.

Little Children sounds great, looks crisp and works perfectly from beginning to end.

Trailer:300
Movie Info:IMDb   WikiP   Site
Type:Teaser Trailer
Release Date:March 9, 2007
Music:Just Like You Imagined
by Nine Inch Nails
In Short:This is madness!

300, based on the Frank Miller graphic novel, is an epic retelling of the Battle of Thermopylaeone, one of ancient history's most defining and pivotal military engagements between Greek and Persian armies. This beauty stands heroically alone on Apple's Movie Trailers Site, having just completely vanguished an army of strong competitors. It's not even close to a fair fight. This is the New Standard for online trailers.

Amazingly crystal clear picture, amazing sound, amazing build. Amazing. How can I resist utterly stunning visuals as every line of dialogue is shouted above a totally immersive soundtrack?

I cannot stop watching this trailer. I'm going to Best Buy and make a blueshirt download the 300 HD trailer to his near as most magicky uber-HDTV piped through some "23.5 Channel" Surroundwhatever / WiFi / Bluetooth / Car / Cranium Implant sound system they can pull together in under 5 minutes.
